In this episode Mark explains how the shutter works, shutter sync, and how to control the ambient light exposure while using a flash. Visit us online at: www.snapfactory.com
I have a sekon l358 … I have a sekon l358 light meter. Why if I have taken a meter reading at say 1/200 F8 , and I slow my shutter down, it also changes the Fstop reading?? I thought that shutter speed didn’t matter when using flash?
Very informative, … Very informative, but he does make one error. At 2:21 he states that as shutter speed increases the slit becomes smaller, which is correct, but also says the curtains move faster, which is incorrect.
The curtains always move at the maximum speed of which they are capable. Only the delay between first curtain opening and second curtain closing changes.
I don’t have the … I don’t have the money for my flashes and boxes yet, and this is fantastic to know before getting it. This will save me a ton of time when I want to start shooting because this is EXACTLY what I was trying to figure out; again, without having the flash yet. Thank you!!!
Very informative, … Very informative, great graphics and easily understood. I use motion picture style lighting 99% of the time, so working with flash occasionally can be a bit frustrating at times. You made flash sync and the art of control totally understandable.
I learnt and … I learnt and finally understood more in this 7:45m video than in months of reading. Thank-you so much! You really explained this well. Superb!
